Provable password-based tripartite key agreement protocol

A password-based tripartite key agreement protocol is presented in this paper. The three entities involved in this protocol can negotiate a common session key via a shared password over insecure networks. Proofs are given to show that the proposed protocol is secure against forging and chosen message attacks in the case of without actually running a dictionary attack.

Improving the Lee-lee’s Password Based Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol

Password based authenticated key agreement protocols have been the most widely used methods for user authentication, since it allows people to choose and remember their own passwords without any assistant device. Password based authenticated key agreement protocols, however, are vulnerable to password guessing attacks since users usually choose easy-to-remember passwords. Recently, Lee and Lee ...

Password-based Encrypted Group Key Agreement

This paper presents an efficient password-based authenticated encrypted group key agreement protocol immune to dictionary attack under the computation Diffie-Hellman (CDH) assumption. In a password-based key agreement protocol, the users only share a human-memorable low entropy password; and using this low-entropy password, the users can agree upon a high-entropy session key which they may use ...

Enhanced password-based key establishment protocol

In this paper we analyse a password-based authenticated key establishment protocol due to Laih, Ding and Huang, which enables a user to authenticate himself to a server and negotiate a shared session key. This protocol is also designed to guarantee that a human being is actually involved in an ongoing protocol execution. However we show that the protocol suffers from offline dictionary attacks....

An Enhanced Password-based Group Key Agreement Protocol with Constant Rounds

In PKC 2006, Abdalla et al. proposed a password-based group key exchange protocol with constant rounds and proved that protocol could resist the offline dictionary attacks in the random-oracle and ideal-cipher models. Then they proposed an open problem whether an adversary can test more than one password in the same session with online dictionary attack. To answer this question, they presented ...
